After trying to focus only on one central aspect of my work. Concerning myself only with the Product Design side of the equation in the early stages of my career, I started paying more attention to how business and engineering peers operated.
Over the past 4 years, I have actively tried to read up and understand different stakeholders. One of the things I have observed is, I can look at any situation from different perspectives. A superpower I didn't think I ever needed but I'm glad to have acquired.
I share your thoughts, especially the ones that resonated in Range by David Epstein. I would add to it with my personal experience. Actively creating and experimenting on things(not just following a new tutorial) is a great way to think critically and expand perspective.
